Paypal Direct Payments support

The website uses Paypal Direct Payments module.  We were specifically told by Paypal to purchase this module in order to have Credit Card payment on our site.  We also purchased 2 years of support.  The module says it's maintained by Prestashop. The website was recently upgraded from Prestashop 1.4 to 1.6.1.7. 

 

When we upgraded, I pulled the module again for Prestashop 1.6 and installed it.  For the most part it's working, payments are going through.  However, the address state is not getting properly sent to Paypal and Paypal sends XX for each state along with a warning message "Address Status: Unconfirmed." (see attached message body) I've looked into the code, but I've not been able to figure out how to see what's getting sent to Paypal, It is not using hidden input modules for the info sent.

 

I've submitted a question to the developer, but I'm not receiving any response.  (It seems that if you pay for 2 years of support on a module, you should at least receive a response from them)  Any thoughts on where to go from here?
