Use database for prestashop 1.6

Hi,

 

my client accidentally installed 1.7 and added allready some products. Since we have first errors with 1.7 (never install a system in dev status for productive used environments) i told him that it was a failure to install 1.7 instead of 1.6.

 

We want to install now a new Prestashop instance with 1.6. My question is if we can rescue the allready entried products. Are the databases behind 1.7 100% compatible to 1.6? does anyone have experiences there? Or can we use import export without any issues?

Hi Dominik.

 

I had compared database tables related to products in 1.7 and 1.6 and noticed difference.

 

Moreover, 1.7 is different than 1.6 in many aspects so I think it won't be good idea to import/export databases between them.
