mobile / tablet customer behaviour

I have been using hotjar (great piece of software, no connection well worth a go) for last copule of weeks to see what is happening with shopping behavior on my site.

 

I have noticed that customers viewing from a mobile  or tablet are not going into product pages for further information or for variable options, which is causing issues. Products are being adding directly to cart from the main menu from which there are no further options available and ultimately a loss of sale.

 

Is there any way the add to cart buttons can be hidden/removed from the initial menu, so to encourage my customers to enter the product page?
