Email Notification with New Orders.

I have installed the "Mail alerts v2.2 - Sends e-mails notifications to customers and merchants." Module, I assume this module is so the Admin can get an email/notification when a costumer places a new Order, but is not working for me.

Does sending emails actually work from your shop?
What is the PS version,

My apologies.

I'm running the latest PS version in Spanish, yes PS is sending emails, the client does receive notifications when a new order is placed, msgs are left, or changes are made..

Yes. I got the same problem with the Merchant Alert email.
Using version 1.3.1. the latest. The Contact Form works OK.
Mail to cusomers is also ok. But no Merchant Alert email is received.
This is set to ON in Module Mail Alert 2.2.
It happens on two diferent Providers. It is not a PHP issue cause of the good working customers e-mail.

I found the solution!
It is a missing language dir in
/modules/mailalerts/mails/sp/
/modules/mailalerts/mails/yourlanguage/

new_order.html
Rename/copy the dir /en/ naar /sp/ and copy this dir to the server on the right place.

Translate the english text into your Language in : new_order.html
There are in total 6 files for translation.
The shop owner received from now on a new arder e-mail.
This applies only for non complete translation packs.
The NL Dutch translation missing the /modules/mailalerts/mails/nl/ also.

Looking at the 1.3.1 distribution file, I see no file named new_order.html in ANY mails directory.

Please advise because I'm not getting notifications of orders at all.

oops, egg on my face...

I was looking in the /mails directory .vs /modules/mailalerts/mails

I see it and it is there, then why wouldn't I be getting notifications?

Yes it is there "Out of the box" in 1.3.1.
/prestashop/modules/mailalerts/mails/en/new_order.html
It works in /en/
In:
/prestashop/modules/mailalerts/mails/your_language/new_order.html
it depends if /your_language/ is a full translation.

I have this directory:
/public_html/modules/mailalerts/mails/en

And it contains new_order.html

But I still don't get any alerts. Maybe it has something to do with my other problem of customers not being able to complete orders?

Activate/install E-mail alerts v2.2
in: Modules-> Tools

Ok, as I said in my other post, it was a directory permissions error. I went back and double checked them and the modules dir was 777 .vs 755. that is why I wasn't getting any notifications.
