How to change the background color in Prestashop?

How to change the background color in Prestashop? I can't find it anywhere in the settings. I am using the default theme. Please note that I use Prestashop only for a few days now and don't know everything yet. Hope that someone could help me.

You can click your shop name in the top-right corner of the Back Office to open the live configurator, click the cogs icon on the left and then choose different themes. That only lets you choose from preset themes though. There is no option in the Back Office to change the theme's background colour. You'll need to manually edit lines 236-241 of themes/default-bootstrap/css/global.css:

  font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
  font-size: 13px;
  line-height: 1.42857;
  color: #777777;
  background-color: #fff; }

Change #fff to the colour you want.

I don't understand it. #FFF seems white to me, but why is my background still a bit yellow-ish?

It's because you've chosen a theme with a background image. If you want to change the background, you'll need to change that image or remove it. It should be in modules/themeconfigurator/css/theme5.css, if that's the one you selected.

I edited the image to a white background, still nothing changed.
