Customer Details, force to change defoult country

I'm looking solution how to force change default country from drop down menu during order process.

in back office is only option to select default country but you can't turn off.

i see many customers have issue  to fill properly all part of adress. the main issue is with zip code ( different format for each  country).

and as long as they don't select correct country they getting issue.

i have added new coutry   "-- select country--- "  but  still is set as defoult and can be accepted during order process as a correct one.
