Where to set the compression level for GD Library???

Hi,

First of all let me say that i am very impressed by prestashop. I've been using oscommerce for a few years now but after playing around with Prestashop i decided to make the switch.

Currently i am working on my first Prestashop project for a client who sells juwelry. The product image quality is very poor ( take a look here My question is where to set the compression level for jpeg (product)images


I save the images in photoshop with 100% quality but gd compresses the file, resulting in poor image quality...

I've got the same problem. Images are very good quality in photoshop and even in windows photo gallery, but when i download them in prestashop e-shop the quality becoms very poor.

Anyone knows the solution???

Make sure that the images aren't being resized by the browser. The compression rates are in images.inc.php in the root directory of PrestaShop. The compression rate is 86% by default on line 40 and 90% by default on line 238 (in PrestaShop v1.3.1).

I've discovered why my images looked terrible in prestashop. That may sound stupid )) but while working on my shop I had pressed (CTRL and +) by mistake and that was the reason images were bad quality. Realised that when used different browsers ))))

What a relief )))
