Installing PrestaShop and folder/file permissions

I've just installed PrestaShop but I'm unsure if I have the permissions correct.

I'm using FileZilla and where the PrestaShop install instructions say to:

Then make sure the following folders have ‘write’ permissions and apply these permissions recursively (to their subfolders): /img, /mails, /modules, /themes/prestashop/lang, /translations

I've selected in FileZilla, "Recursive into subdirectories" and "Apply to all files and directories" is this correct or should I have selected "Apply to directories only"?

That's right, but you should apply chmod 755 permissions to the directories and chmod 644 to the files. You should only use chmod 777 permissions on older, less secure servers.
