kkw777
Dear Presta shopers! I am having a problem because I don't received an email when a new order is placed. I followed many posts from this forum during the past 3 days, but my problem was not solved. Finnaly today I decided to put 4 different email addresses in the Mail Alert module to see what will happen: 1) I have put the prestashops own address "[email protected]" (I receive email with POP) 2) I have put another address in form of "[email protected]" (I receive emails with POP) 3) I have also "[email protected]" (I receive emails with IMAP) 4) and finally "[email protected]" (I receive emails with POP). I have configured prestashop to send via SMTP and I have checked all the items below: a) Test email is coming to "[email protected]" Translation files are OK c) Emails from contact form are coming to my shops email "[email protected]" d) The customer receives coonfirmation email for his order, as well as additional emails about payment. Now the interesting part is that when a customer places a new order, only No 2) "[email protected]" receives the email. Why is this so? Normally I should receive the email in all 4 addresses placed in the Mail Alert Module or nothing at all ! How it is possible for the module to choose only 1 of the 4?In addition since No 2) and No 3) are under the same domain it is not a matter of spam filtering, blocking the email (Checked also the Spam filter). So any ideas about this strange bahavior?I need to receive the order notification emails in my own email "[email protected]". myvbo
I had a problem to get notification for any new order as well but it was more straightforward as compare to yours. I didn't get it at all. What I did is disable the Cache in Advance Parameters -> Performance and then enabled it again. Somehow, it works for me! I know this doesn't sound a good / permanent fix but this is something work for me.

I need to receive the order notification emails in my own email "[email protected]". I forgot to mention that "[email protected]" is the email I use to log in to presta back office. When I put this email to the Mail Alerts module, I receive the order, when I put another email address in the module, the email never comes. kkw777
PROBLEM SOLVED ! The Mail Alert Module sends emails only to the employees of the shop. In order for the Mail Alert Module to work properly you need to set an employee with the same email you wish to use in the Mail Alert module. So you have to go under "Administration / Employees" (prestashop 1.6) and create a new employee with the same email you have put in the Mail Alert module. This information is important, because I have not read anywhere about it in the Forum.
