ysco
Hello all,There already is a thread from someone that has similar problems but no response yet for a solution. Can`t imagine that no one else has or have this problem. The problem that i have is when you buy something and add to cart then you go to the checkout process ( in this case onepage checkout from zerlag with ship2pay ) and now you choose for example COD a new screen open about the order and now i confirm the order and a blank page opens with the message (Order Creation Failed ) this is the same when you choose iDeal. It is not the combination ship2pay and onepage checkout cause this error was there also after the clean install off presta 1.3 final when i try the COD.So it has something to do with presta 1.3 and database from 1.2.4, i try`t many times and still no luck. What i did is the following,I installed prestashop 1.3 clean install and created a new database to complete the installation. Then i deleted the database and installed the database from my live server form prestashop 1.2.4 I replaced the Cookie set in settings.inc.php from 1.2.4 into 1.3 final cause the login customers is not working when you forget this ( thanks to the guy that posted this solution on presta forum )I also try`t to replace the order.php from 1.3 with the one from 1.2.4 to test if that works, also no luck.I m running out off options and hope that someone has a solution for this problem.Prestashop better implement a upgrade solution in future versions so that it replace only the necessary files and that it is not screwed up every time when a new version is released.Any help appreciated cause this way i can not launch my new site with latest version till payment problems are solved.Till then i have to stick with the old shop with version 1.2.4.Best regards,ysco.. uddhava
Upgrading Prestashop is a real pain i experienced. Even Themes are almost always version dependent, so what to speak of modules?I guess that both modules need to be checked for compatibility issues. The order creating fail error happens indeed with older version mixed with newer version. It also happened to a custom module that i made from 1.2.5 that did not work on 1.3....Some code had changed to create the order in the programming.....I think you should contact the module makers
ysco
@ uddhava,Well the problem is not related with the modules cause when i have done a clean install with presta 1.3 and then try COD that comes with this version then it also don`t works. So no modules installed after the new install and the problem is also there, only the modules that came with presta 1.3 and nothing else.So when i have done clean install and imported the database from live server then try COD and i get the message Order creation Failed. And i m not the only one with this problem so i don`t know if something can cause this problem when import the database to presta 1.3.ysco..
