jmacias
As I can see PS125 have been discontinued, and there is no support for customers using this version. As you may know, upgrading a PrestaShop with a Customized Template is almost impossible......What can we do??? minh
That a newer stable version of PS has been released does not mean you cannot ask question in the forum about older version, i.e. get support. So, you can do what you should have done should PS1.2.5 be the latest version - pose your questions to the community active in the forum to get support. rocky
PrestaShop v1.2.5 themes will still work with PrestaShop v1.3.1. You'll just be missing out on the bug fixes and improvements made to the theme files. You should really upgrade to the latest PrestaShop v1.3.1, since it includes security fixes in several files including two theme files. You should recreate your theme using the default PrestaShop v1.3.1 theme too, or at least apply the security fixes to the two themes files outlined in the blog to prevent XSS vulnerabilities. jmacias
Rocky, is inevitable to change some code in Prestashop, there a lot of things that can't be done in a module.Do you really know any working shop with PS without changing nothing?? IAmTheFunk
To the contrary, I have yet to find any freeware shopping cart system available that works completely out of the box without any changes, at least in the format and setting I require. Prestashop is much easier to understand and has a very active community that is willing to help in comparison to many other viable options on the internet (from my personal experiences). If you need help updating your custom theme to work with 1.3 and it does not work as it does with your current shop, there are plenty of us who are willing to help, many times for free.Give us a shot, you'll hopefully be pleasantly surprised. jmacias
I have selling online for 5 years now, I own 3 shops and have developed more than 300.ALL the shops that lasts more than one year, always need some changes. In Spain, at least, COD payment need a fees, and many users need PayPal fee.Attributes are a hell for manufacturing companies....so.... in the top shops listed in the showcase, there some shops I've developed... and all are modified. An by the way, Attributes are compatible between 1.2.5 and 1.3, so the templates doesnt work....
