markusD
Hi Prestashop Community I have an eshop based on Joomla 1.5 / Virtuemart 1.1.9 It is working fine but it is too old and dont have new features that we need We are in trouble on choosing between cs-cart & Prestashop 1.7.x Can developers give some advice on this? Martin Uker K
Well, first advice : Move to 1.6 lastest version. Going directly to 1.7, which is both a Migration Version and some kind of reboot is a bad idea. Let's just say 1.7 is still in Beta version. It's still lacking some important feature. Second part : Pros and cons PrestaShop is a great and free platform, it works perfectly and is innovative. It's going trought a migration right now, but will still support 1.6 during the process. PrestaShop is localized, which means it can supports more than one devise and language. Although, modules are needed, a theme is great too. These things cost money...once.Cs-cart costs money. So does his update. I won't bash over the app, it's not something I do, and it doesn't deserve it (It's not WooCommerce, which does deserve some bashing). I didn't works enough with it to know about modules / theme. I don't know if they cost money. Martin.
