rocky
This can happen when you paste your product name instead of typing it. Usually, PrestaShop automatically creates a friendly URL as you type using the keyup event on the product name field. You can manually change the friendly URL by clicking the "Click here to improve product's rank in search engines (SEO)" link above the short description, which will reveal the friendly URL field. wotnots
Neither solution works at all. I still have the problem. I am told by Edvard from GTranslate that the problem is with the ht access file.
rocky
I don't think an error in the .htaccess file would cause that error message. I've attached the friendly URL field on the "1. Info." tab of the product editor. Are you sure that you have something in the friendly URL field, like in the attached screenshot?
wotnots
Yes I have that, exactly as in your screen shot, but with different text, of course. It is also in the category as well.Thank you for your time and patience.
rocky
I can't think of any other reason why the error message in the first post would appear.
wotnots
Ok Rocky,Thanks for trying. I am going to try a backup on the server to 3 June. If this fails I shall delete Prestashop and reinstall. If I get the same problem it may be a server issue. If not, I'll have to try another shop product, perhaps from Joomla. Thanks again for trying to help.Regards,Clive
