Advanced EU Compliance module 'Advanced Checkout' does not check minimum order amount

We are running Prestashop 1.6.1.6, but I tested this with a vanilla 1.6.1.9.

 

The configured minimum order amount is not checked when using the advancedeucompliance module feature named 'Advanced Checkout'.

 

Is this a design/implementation choice or just something that got missed ?
