DD_DD2
I can't install 1.7.0.1 on OVH sharehosting. Just fyi previous versions (1.5.x, 1.6.x) have been installed w/o any issues. During installation of 1.7.0.1, the system compatibility is fine, as well the database connection. BUT during the "Store installation" step, when creating database tables" an error occured: "Unknown database type bit requested, Doctrine\DBAL\Platforms\MySqlPlatform may not support itUnknown database type bit requested, Doctrine\DBAL\Platforms\MySqlPlatform may not support it" Any help would be appreciated. iyalla
I have solved my own issue. I updated php on my localhost (XAMPP) from php5 to php7 by installing XAMPP 7.0.9. The solution is to update to php7 as Prestashop 1.7 runs on php7
DD_DD2
@iyalla Nice for you ! But according to Prestashop, php 5.4 is enough : http://build.prestashop.com/news/prestashop-1-7-faq/ and the extract below: What are system requirements for v1.7?We announced in June 2015 that PrestaShop was moving to PHP 5.4.
