[Solved] One Page Checkout address save fails

I am using PS 1.6.1.4

 

I don't know if this is a problem with Zelarg's One Page Checkout or not, but I have just had two potential customers contact me saying they cannot pay as there is no option shown.

 

The website keeps throwing an error saying, directly below the header block "Error: please choose an address" and "TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to save adresses". This error only shows for customers who are not logged in. I have had to revert back to the 5 step process for the time being and orders are now working.

 

The error only seems to have happened from today (28th November 2016)

 

I have confirmed the error in Chrome and MS Edge.

 

Any ideas please?

What a nice man! The creator of the module (Peter) took a look and showed me what was wrong:

 

It turns out that I was asking for a phone number to be a required filed under Customer/Addresses (now unchecked),

when I really should have been asking for a phone number as mandatory under Preferences/Customers (now mandatory).

I love a simple solution  :)

 

I did find it funny that during the 5 step checkout process being enabled that I got a lot more orders than normal... So there's some testing to do...
