jetway
Hi, I've been running a Prestashop Shop for almost 2 years now. I am on v1.6.1.9. The members are growing so as the products. We've specialist on one Product Segment. We currently offer approx 700 Products so nothing huge. Anyways, since about 2 months we've experiencing an extreme slow down of the start page after every order. The impact is so huge that the start page can take up to 10-15 seconds to load which is totally not acceptable. Seems like its caching. This has not happend in previous Versions of the Software. Since we have quite some orders this is a big problem. Nobody waits that long for a page to load and most likely will bounce. We are now questioning if Prestashop was such a good choice. I have addressed this issue before but nobody seems to care. Cheers
Daresh
Have you tries to turn on the profiling and check what takes so long to load? Sometimes it's caused by some module that you installed.
DorMic-systems
I'm new in this shop but you are right: This issue was also already discussed in the German forum. It was just today when the moderator gave me that hint with the newest version of presta. Accordingly, the bug with the cache is known but no solution seems to be available up to now. DorMic-systems
Hi Tuk66 If you want to dive in deeper you have too contact better one of the moderators: The information that I got regarding the bug is given by "eleazar " He knows perhaps more in detail what the reason is why due to the bug with the cache of the home page the response time behavior is getting from bad to worse. jetway
The impact on the Homepage is huge. A high frequency site with lots of orders better stay away from Prestashop. It's absolutely useless.
