0 selectshop.at
On Cloud you can only back-up your database. FTP not (images, modules, etc not). On you back-office you go to tab: "advanced parameters -> DB-Backup. PS: note that by this way yo only are making a copy for secure reasons, if you need to restore the database due to crash or wrong import. You cannot use the database on another Prestashop Install, cause for this you need parity on hashes. If you want to move to another server, you should contact Prestashop Cloud support team. BTW the Cloud service will be cancelled by February 2017. Prestashop is working on another possibilities to continue your shop, but it will not be free. Only migration seems to be free. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/507533-my-shop-has-been-deleted/page-2?p=2449719&do=findComment&comment=2449719
0 eleazar
Like selectshop.at said, the free PrestaShop Cloud will be shut down precisely on 2017/02/01. Which means you should move your shop by the end of January 2017 to a webspace of your choice. Prestashop guarantees a free complete zip of your entire cloud shop (including the database) for download. You may also make use of paid services of agencies specialized in migration from the PrestaShop cloud. For more details contact the cloud support. 0 boneyard
Prestashop "guarantees" a backup, but I opened I ticket, did everything they asked and was promptly ignored. After spending a month working on setting up my store, I got busy around the holidays with work and family and didn't log in for 30 days and the DELETED THE ENTIRE STORE without any warning whatsoever. This sucks. I'm going to give them another week and then move on to something else, perhaps Magento or Shopify.
0 selectshop.at
@ boneyard - I think you missed this topic. Prestashop Cloud is going to be discontinued in some weeks. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/570740-prestashop-cloud-getting-deprecated-shut-down/
0 boneyard
Regardless, an email would have been nice - as well as the backup that I was told I could get if I followed the right steps, which I did - at least I think. The support site is in french. Helpful..not.
0 hypa
every few times i login to PS cloud back office there is a warning message to migrate - either 'remind me later' or continue to migration options. As time running out i went for migration today. Also when i log in here: https://www.prestashop.com/cloud/en/my-stores i get this message: Some important changes are coming to PrestaShop and following changes you have to migrate your store from PrestaShop Cloud to PrestaShop Download and have your own hosting. You may naturally choose your own hosting solution or go through PrestaShop migration process with one of our partners. You need to migrate your PrestaShop store before February, 1st 2017 You have 12 days left! if you chose the easy migration option it gives zips 1) www backup files 2) database files see other posts or email prestashop for guide on how to migrate using the two zip files Edited January 19, 2017 by hypa (see edit history)
