Krystian Podemski
I strongly suggest to update to the newest version, between 1.6.0.6 there was a lot significant performance improvements, also you should ask your admin to enable and configure opcache. Krystian Podemski
Basically number of products is not a right measurement to say if the server is good or not, it's more about traffic, 100.000 rows for MySQL is not that big amount, really, but PrestaShop had some troubles with "blockspecials" module and few others, these issues were addressed in 1.6.1.0 from what i remember. Could you enable debug mode and profiler? By going to config/defines.inc.php and changing false to true in _PS_MODE_DEV_ and _PS_ENABLE_DEBUG_PROFILING_, it will show what is going on under the hood.
