Lavativarios
Hi,I would like to know how to change the template of the newsletter that a costumer receives when:- Receiving the e-mail confirmation of the Newsletter...message "Hi Thank you to subscribe to our newsletter"- Receiving an e-mail with a voucher offered for his/her newsletter subscription...message "Regarding your newsletter subscription, we have the pleasure to offer you the following voucher: XXXXXXX- Receiving a e-mail with a link to a recommended product of my store...message "A friend has sent you a link to a product that (s) he thinks may interest you." "Click here to view this item: XXXXXXXXXX"Translations are not available for these text in the "Translations" section.I would like to have e-mails sent in different languages depending on my customer's original language, or at least, the opportunity to change this default text into something customizable by myself. Thanks in advance. rocky
Here are the location of those mail templates:modules/blocknewsletter/mails//newsletter_conf.<html/txt>modules/blocknewsletter/mails//newsletter_voucher.<html/txt>modules/sendtoafriend/mails//send_to_a_friend.<html/txt>Just create a folder for each language iso code, copy the existing mail templates and then translate them. Lavativarios
Thanks for your reply. My shop is hosted by PrestaBox and maybe for that reason I don't have the modules you mentioned.I can create the module directories for each one of them, but what about the newsletter_conf , newsletter_voucher and send_to_a_friend mail templates? Where can I find them, or should I create them from scratch?
rocky
You can download PrestaShop v1.3 from the Downloads page at top and then extract those mail templates.
Lavativarios
OK, I got the mail templates from the downloaded zip file.Last question: when creating each folder for iso languages, do I have to create the blocknewsletter.tpl and sendtoafile.tpl files also? Lavativarios
When trying to upload the files:newsletter_conf.htmlnewsletter_conf.txtnewsletter_voucher.htmlnewsletter_voucher.txtsend_to_a_friend.htmlsend_to_a_friend.txtinto every iso language directories I get the error: "bad file name"
rocky
Yes, if the module code is missing from your site, you should upload the module files too. I don't know why you would get "bad file name" errors. Perhaps you aren't allowed to upload files because you are using PrestaBox. I suggest that you contact them and ask them to install these modules for you. Babocas
Hi, I would like to do the same but I have to translate only text files, or html too?
rocky
It depends on what you have set under Preferences > Email, but you should translate both the TXT and HTML files in case you need them in the future.
