delete cache results in HTTP ERROR 500

Recommended Posts

So I have tryied to delete the chache on my prestashop following steps I have found on google:
  1. Log into Prestashop admin panel.
  2. Navigate to Advanced Parameters > Performance.
  3. Set Force compile to Yes, disable Cache and save changes.
  4. Go to your front-office and refresh the store page.

After this my front-end just displays:

The <domain> page isn’t working

<domain> is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

Does somebody else encountered this same problem?

edit: after turning the debug mode on I get the following error:
Fatal error: Uncaught --> Smarty Compiler: Syntax error in template "/home/b1040623/public_html/themes/sting/header.tpl" on line 82 "!function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?" - Unexpected ".", expected one of: "","" , ")" <-- thrown in /home/b1040623/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 82

I have solved it!

A few days before deleting the cache I added some tags for Google AdWords and this interfered with the prestashop code.

Deleting one of the tags solved the problem.

Thank you, I know you didn't do anything but writing here the problem helped me understand better.
