Layered navigation block dropdown lists are buggy

I configured "Layered navigation block" and it's a great indispensable feature for e-commerce sites, but there are two annoying bugs:

 

1. The dropdown menu type of fitering doesnt work. When I click on the dropdown (in the store, front end) it immediately refreshes the page even though I haven't even selected an otption from the menu. So basically its unusable. I've had to keep my filters as long lists.

 

1B. Another problem, some filter dropdowns appear with a scroll bar to the right of them. There should never be a scrollbar when its set to dropdown.

 

2. Less problematic but still very annoying: Templates don't "remember" their order. The order is saved for the front-end, so at least that works, but as soon as I go to make an edit to the template, the order of the items is always reset to some default instead of my preferred order.
