Importing users and sending passwords

Hi,

I´ve installed a prestashop and I need import more than 1000 users, to be honest I don´t know what is the best way to do that.

 

The users I already have, they come from Wordpress. I don´t have too much information about them; mail, name, surname, and password.

 

I don´t care if I can import the password. I need to import all users, and after send them the new password for each one.

 

How do I must proceed?

You'll need to create a CSV file with the email address, password, first name and last name. Go to the Advanced Parameters > CSV Import tab. You can download a sample customer CSV file there. When you have the file ready, choose "Customers" as the entity you want to import, upload the file and then map all the columns.

 

Unfortunately, there's no way to automatically ask all the customers to set up a new password. You could click the "Forgot my password?" link and enter each of the customer's email addresses, though that could take a long time for 1000 customers.
