I moved my website from one domain to another, facing error 404 on home page

You'll need to update the shop domain in the Back Office on the Preferences > SEO & URLs tab (or Advanced Parameters > Multistore if you're using multiple shops). If you can't access your Back Office, you'll need to open phpMyAdmin through your cPanel and manually change the domain and domain_ssl in the ps_shop_url table.

I already tried this but still facing issue

Weird. Check your .htaccess file and make sure the new domain is used in there.

Why add defaultsite to the url???? That page does not exist.

You don't have to remove anything. The link you pasted above included defaultsite. if you just type http://cycle2u.co.uk in your browser the page loads normally without any issue.

How do i solve mine?

 

Example: 

 

From domain.com/prestashop

to domain.com

 

Im using 1.7 

 

Any help is very much appreciated.

Just move the files and then edit the ps_shop_url table in your database using phpMyAdmin and change the "physical_uri" from /prestashop/ to /

 

If that doesn't work, try going to Advanced Parameters > Performance tab and then clicking the "Clear cache" button to regenerate the cache with the new path.
