How to add pagination to the product list page

I also want to add pagination to the product list page for a custom template.

 

The default one isn't working.

Well first you should understand why it does not work by default. Since prestashop has a standard method to add it, it would be useless to create a whole separate system (...and impossible to guide you through the process here).
Are you using the layered navigation? If so, try to disable it

I've managed to fix it. The code was totally removed in the category.tpl page.
