Looking for a Plug-in that allows me to add to BO menu

I'm looking for a Plugin or code that allows me  to add the

 

homeslider to the Backoffice Menu

 

at the moment the user has to go to Modules > Modules then find "image slider for your homepage"

and configure in order to change images & links

 

If this was available on the main menu it would make things easier and not tempted to tinker with other modules

 

Similarly, items at the bottom of the Homepage can have Images / Links replaced but the user needs access to Theme configurator - again something the average users shouldn't be accessing

 

I managed to add item to the menu http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Administration+Menus+Configuration

 

but there is an error Controller can't be found

 

I'm a relative newby with Prestashop

...can manage a bit of PHP

I I understand you need to have quick button to edit some module? In backoffice top you have quick access button you can add there modules page. This is simplest way.
