automatic customer group

I am working with prestashop about a month.

is there any way to add customers to different customer groups with no need to edit them?

I mean for example I provide a link, and any customer that joins my shop from that link directly be added to x customer group.

Hi,

There are Registration Modules that allow the customer to select the Group he/she wants to apply for. You can set if the application should automatically be accepted or if you need to verify it.

I don't believe it works with links like you are wanting. I am guessing this would need to be programmed.
