MariaDB

I'm going to be moving my stores to a new host. Since I am going to be at it anyway I was going to switch from mySQL to MariaDB. 

Is anyone using MariaDB?

 

Would it be compatible with PrestaShop?

hahaha its worth a post. Im trying to move to a Bitnami PS vps. Its all set up but my current version is 1.7.1.4 with mysql but my new one is 1.7.8.1 on MiriaDB. Do i just uninstall all my modules and 1click migrate - then move it?

Im hoping for miracle!

if you hoping for a miracle it will fail loool.

you should not need to upgrade your ps to move to new host unless they don't support your version of ps, if they  do not then don't migrate.

more info is needed but don't do anything rash!

I didn't migrate, but I have Presta 1.7.8.1 installed on MariaDB and it works pretty fine!
