Module output in templates

Hi,

 

according to the documentation it is possible to render a module with this call

{hook h='footer' mod='blocknewsletter'}

I have removed blocknewsletter from the hook under positions im backend, because i want to output this module at the specific position. But after calling the hook manually, i don't see any output from this module. What am i doing wrong?

You removed module position from backend then how it can produce any output? You need to transplant it where you want to generate output.
