Multistore further discussion

Hi all multistore  users/ want to be multistored,

 

I found that there is not much multi store tutorials/discussion here.

 

anyway, my question is, 

 

I want to set up multi store in the same domain, but the second store does not have a physical url, just act like a warehouse for back office manual order, is this possible??

You might just keep it disabled so that people cannot access it, and use a 301 redirect to the main domain
