Can't remove Date of birth in the registration form

Hi all,

I have wrapped the parts of the code with the <!-- and --> in the files: authentication.tpl (row 132- 174 and 462 - 504), identity.tpl (88-132) and order-opc-new-account.tpl (88-130). But the question Date of birth still appear in the form.

(I have emptied the cache).

 

What have I missed?

Sounds like you've done the right thing, though you should use {* and *} instead of <!-- and -->.

 

Check to make sure you don't have "Never recompile templates" selected on the Advanced Parameters > Performance tab.

"Never recompile..." was selected. Changed to "Rebuild...if files changed" and it works. Thank you! :-)

I did the same, recompiled, cleared cache - did so again, set even more parts to be 'dsiplay:none' and still the date of birth is there - in two browsers, one with no history. I may be in shock at why this isn't a simple on/off switch in teh BO, but anyone have an idea how to do this?
