DemiDemi
Hi Hoping someone can help me with this issue that has recently occurred after I changed one of the settings in the front end somewhere, but I don't know what caused it and nothing I have done since has resolved it. I haven't changed any of the code in the back end, I have only been doing work on the front end. How the error occurs: I add a new product - the first step is to add the product information and then I click on Save and Stay Once I do this, I get the following error1. Products must be in at least one category2. This product must be in the default category Now once I go to the Associations tab and associate it to home and other categories, the error goes away and I can then continue to add images, add price, update SEO etc for the product. It seems that I did something that stopped associating any newly created product to the default category and I don't know how to resolve it. This didn't happen before and I can't find anything here or anywhere that tells me which part of my PrestaShop I need to change in order to stop it from happening. Can anyone here advise, please? I am using PrestaShop v1.6.1.6 - the latest version. Thanks Zana Edited October 2, 2016 by DemiDemi (see edit history)
musicmaster
The product page consists of a set of pages that are loaded separately. If you submit too fast some of the pages may not have been loaded and you get error messages. It looks like you submitted while the page with the categories was not yet loaded. DemiDemi
Thanks, musicmaster. I have seen that response before in other threads somewhere else too, but testing this theory doesn't stop the error. The other thing I just noticed, was that in the Description and Short Description fields, there is no longer the ability to change the font name, size, use dot points etc. I have done something in the settings in PrestaShop, either in the modules or preferences somewhere, but no matter what I try, nothing has changed, I still get the error and also now the inability to modify font name/size, use dot points etc (and I try one thing at a time, test and then revert).
