specific menu for specific category

Hi, a have a problem with a site with ps1.6 where there are installed 3 menus, with their specific categories.

i know that you can associate specific category to specific users, by the way the older developer create 3 menu, each for specific category.

 

so, now if you click one of the main category you go in and see a specific menu, and if you click on other main category you see another specific category and so on.

Someone kwon where is possible to set/change this select? Change the menu on category click?
