greyerash
I know there is another topic, but it doesn;t solve what i want.I'ved deleted all the favicons from prestashop, Img, template all i could find. But still that logo appears.I'ved uploaded mine, deleted cookies, nothing.I also noticed that my logo only appears only when i use http://mysite.com (without www) What is the connection?I'me really frustrated about this.I'ved even reinstalled prestashop without favicons, and it still appears.Got any ideas?? Please..
thecat22
Hi,You have to do CTRL + F5 on your browser, and then shut down the browser and open it again.Normally it works (with IE and Google Chrome)

greyerash
It's not browser related. There is another prestashop favicon besides the ones in img and templates. I'ved already cleared browser history. My favicon was showing until i set canonical url to point from http://mysite.com to http://www.mysite.comWhen you view the adress with "www" the default presta favicon appears. Also when the page is loading my favicon appears.I'ved long deleted all default favicons i could find in img and template and still it appears. it's not browser related, it is another favicon besides those to somewhere. rocky
It is most likely a cache issue. There are only two favicon.ico files in PrestaShop. One is in the root img directory and the other is in the root of the current theme's directory. If you have changed those and uploaded them, then you don't have to worry. Try accessing your site from another computer that has never accessed your site before and see whether the new icon appear. If it does, you don't need to worry about it not working on your computer. You should also add the following code to your .htaccess to redirect http://mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite.com RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mysite.com/$1 [R=301,L]
kidnkorner
It is browser cache. I did what rocky said before he posted what he said. I also got with another merchant who I know is running PS and he told me the same thing.open your browserhit ctrl+shift+deletechoose everything from the drop down menuuncheck everything except cacheclick enterclose browser re open browserand voila! Hi, do it true FTP, so it is 100%If the PS .ico still show up, it is your cache, browser history etc....Regards.
