Customer Services page not loading

I cannot access the Customer Service page in back office (either by Customers > Customer Services on the left menu or clicking Show All Messages under the mail icon at the top).

 

When I try, the page hangs for a while and eventually says:

 

This page is not available

We're sorry, but the Web address you've entered is no longer available.

 

 

I've turned on error reporting but it doesn't return anything at all.

 

Any ideas?

I am running PHP 5.6 and increased max execution time to 60, and everything else works well, so I'm struggling to see where the error lies?
