cart very slow! where do I start?

I was able to get a prestashop virtual shop running yesterday, after a poorly made migration from a colleague...

 

but, after going through this process, I didn't even had time to be happy because I ran into another problem...

 

the virtual shop, mainly the shop cart, are very slow! the cart, the way it is now, it's not usable

 

I imagine that may have more than one hipotesis for what is getting the shop so slow... but since I'm kinda a newbie in prestashop, I admit that I don't know where to start looking for.. I accept any help or tip that you guys can give me...

 

despite there is a lot of things that I don't know yet, I believe that I have the theoretical basis and/or (and mainly) I learn very fast!
