Re-install from backed up files

Long story short, my hosting account was accidentally canceled and my prestashop has been erased.

Luckily, before it was cleared, I coincidentally backed up the entire prestashop folder on my hosting account.

Now, the question is, how do I get my prestashop back?

Can I just create a new database on the new hosting account using the same database name & password as the previous prestashop, and then copy and paste my backed up prestashop folder to the new host account?

Do I need to re-install prestashop using the installer, and then copy my files onto the hosting account? (Only problem is, I'm not sure what version of prestashop it was, and whether or not that version is still hosted on this website to be downloaded).

Other options? What are your ideas?

Did you back up your database too? If you didn't, then you can only do a clean install with the default database, in which case it doesn't matter what database details you use. If you do have a backup of the database, then you'll just need to restore that database using the same database details as before, then upload all your files, including config/settings.inc.php and everything should work as it did before.
