E-mail alerts for new orders not being sent!

I just realized that email alerts are not being sent when customers place an order!

I've configured Mail alerts v2.2 to send emails to only one address (at my domain), but it's not working - I've checked both boxes - so that new orders and out-of-stock items receive email alerts.

What is the problem?

I'm running the store in a different language than default (Latvian), and it's prestashop Version 1.2.4.0. (I don't want to upgrade, because I'm afraid it'll break my installation - as times before with previous upgrades, from 1.1 for example)

We also faced with this problem when we used to Godaddy shared hosting. in the begining there was not any problem, after sometimes mails stopped . We tried all things, but nothing solved, then we tried same version of pretashop on other hosting, it worked fine. Then we changed our hosting service, now there is not any problem. All works fine. We use v.1.2.5
What is your hosting? I advise you to contact with hosting customer service if you do not find any solution.

We also used dreamhost 2 years ago. we used unlimited package of dreamhost. But after sometimes they limited our hosting plan because we got more traffic. I do not tried prestashop on dreamhost. Now we are using Justhost.
