Testing order process

How do you test the ordering process to see if order creation is done correctly?

I need to test pack configurations and how they affect inventory in my shop and
I also don't want to cause any payments during the testing.

Hi
You could use the Cash on delivery (COD) as a payment method (you need to enable the module first). This will let you test the ordering process without the need for payment.
And when you're done testing you can delete your test orders using
delete orders module
