Remove content and id from the url

Hi,

 

I am new to PrestaShop and see that the URLs are not user-friendly, it is for contact page but not for products, categories and any pages created? I am using SEO friendly option but still won't work.

 

How do I remove the word 'content' and id from the URL http://www.website.com/content/12-pagename ?

You can't remove the /content/ from the URL, since PrestaShop needs it to distinguish between category and CMS URLs. You can, however, use a different word by going to Preferences > SEO & URLs in the Back Office and editing the "Route to CMS page".
