Problem with SMTP setup

Hello

 

I am new in prestashop world and trying to setup  email in my shop. I am using the smtp parameters from my email account that I keep in the company that host my site also. I have setup there several email accounts.  The problem is that no matter what user I configure (for example I am trying to configure to use [email protected] as a sender) the mail that I receive after the test is from my personal account ([email protected])

 

SMTP server: mail.mydomain.com

User: [email protected]
Password: xxxxxxx
Encryption: 
Port: 25

 

Any idea? How can I see what user and password is using when is connecting in my mail server?

Check the Preferences > Store Contacts tab in your Back Office. The "Shop Email" there is what's used in the "From" field when sending emails.

 Thanks . I thought it is using the user account "from" field.
