How to prevent concurrent connections to server

Hi All,

 

I am testing a stress test to my server to know how much request it can handle. I tried 5 machines sending concurrent connections (f5 key) while using the website but suddenly my apache crash. I want to know how to optimize it or is there any prevention to not let this happen?

Have you tried looking at the server logs? It may give you somewhere to start.

 

If you wanted an easier way to test load on your server, you can also use a service such as https://loadimpact.com/

Hello Dan, how can i check my server logs? the logs after my server crash right? I tried the load impact but after testing it gives me 100% healthy result.

It is not clear what you are testing. Is this a simple test.html file. Or are you testing a Prestashop shop.

 

In the latter case it could be Mysql. It can take a lot of memory for each customer and so quickly consume all memory.
