Bas_1981
Hello all, after spending hours of working on my first Prestashop-website I finally set it live. I've read a lot of articles about SEO for optimizing my webshop, but the webshop is still hard to find in Google. I optimized the SEO-urls, filled in the tags, give every article a different META-description and a logic META-title (same as productname), created a sitemap and robots.txt. In the productdesrcription the first text is the productname within H1-tags. I started with Google Search Console, added 3 domains (https://www..---- http://www..... and http://---) and as far I can see the setup is correct. Is there something more I can do to get higher in the Google search results (except google adwords). I hope someone can help me to advise me. Thanks in advance! modprestashop
SEO is like sweet, the more you eat, the more you want it more. SEO is endless process you can add many things. For example you mentioned may things here about SEO but let me tell you some points that can be done too. Open graph meta tags Twitter card meta tags Feed Sitemap (i am sure you did is not with images) Rich card - And moreover rich card can have many options about your products hreflang links tags Structured markup data And don't think that your site will be in google within couple of days, it will take time, but please don't ask how long because only Google (or any search engine) know that. So as you mentioned in your question "someone can advice me", this is advice only that keep working and improvements of site and wait to get it on google. Content is the king in SEO so keep posting blogs about and related your products which is useful for users. For above listed things you can add good modules which provide all the facilities. Bas_1981
It's 2 months live now. Where can I check if everything is indexed? What about changes? If I add or edit an article, does it also take 3 months before I can see it in Google?

modprestashop
No, not each time about changes. You can see you can find news on Google within half an hour after some event. It is about query from user and how how hot is your topic. You can check your index status in your webmaster account from here:
mikesegveld
Hi Bas, If you're not indexed in 2 months, I guess something is wrong. 1. Google Search ConsoleYou said you added: https://www..----, http://www..... and http://---. So, you're webshop has an 'https-domain'? Make sure you give up your preferred domain (with or without 'www.'). You added your XML-sitemap @ Google Search Console? Test: 'Fetch as Google' on some pages and see if Google can index these pages. 2. Robots.txt Make sure your Robots.txt doesn't have: 'Disallow /' 3. Indexed pages Like 'Modprestashop' said: You could find your indexed pages in Google Search Console. But Google Search Console has often some kind of errors. If you really want to know which pages are in the search results, you have to use this in Google (depending if your domain is with/without www. site:domain.com site:www.domain.com Good luck! Bas_1981
Hi all, sorry for my very late answer, I thought I posted a reply on this thread to tell you I'm on holiday, so I didn't had time to work on my site. I just start with the first suggestions: SEO is like sweet, the more you eat, the more you want it more. Open graph meta tags: I have a facebook page, but don't use often links to the webshop, so I think this option won't help me (please correct me if I'm wrong) Twitter card meta tags I don't use twitter Feed What can I do with this? and on which way will it help me to find the site on google? Sitemap I use the sitemap option of the prestashop, is it not enough? Rich card: I had never heard of this function, but it looks good. Is it possible to implement it self? Or only with an addon? Hreflang link tags: If it's not standard, I don't have it. Where can I write the code? In a "normal" website it can be placed in index.php, but were to place it in prestashop? Strucured markup data: You mean to use <h1> codes in the products? I think I did it on the right way Many thanks for your help! I really appreciatie it! modprestashop
These things are not for you use facebook or twitter or you don't use. It is for search engine, not for you or your customers too. About sitemap you are fine. Richcard and hreflang can be implemented by addons only. Structured markup data means not h1...h6 tags, it is about schema markup for product. Read more about it here https://schema.org/Product
Bas_1981
I don't understand you exactly about the facebook and twitter. I don't use twitter and facebook for my webshop. Need i use the open graph and twitter card metatag? Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it right that the structured markup is used for the richcard? I appreciate your help, thank you! EDIT: I did some more searching on the web and now I added a product in the testing tool (https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool) and then I receive this information: Is it correct? Or do I miss something? Edited October 19, 2016 by Bas_1981 (see edit history)
Bas_1981
@modprestashop; did you see my last post? Or did you missed it? (or someone else who can/want to help me?)
modprestashop
About facebook and twitter: I understood your point if you don't want to share your store link son facebook or twitter then you can ignore open graph.
Bas_1981
Thank you for your answer, now it's clear to me. What about: I did some more searching on the web and now I added a product in the testing tool (https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool) and then I receive this information: structured data.JPG Is it correct? Or do I miss something? Is it correct or do I need to change something? It seems to be correct to me.
