Run Multistore with 3 active shops on diffrent database

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have got 3 running shops on this same server in other directories with other database for each of shop. I would like to install new 4 shop which will be multistore main shop and i could from this shop manage 3 others active install. Is it possible to merging that? I know multistore use one database. Is possible to merging database all shops in one and run multistore? Or only new all shops can i multistore?

Someone did it?

I realized this, by merging two databases into one, but honestly. I never will do this again. It is better for performance to have three independent databases, instead of one with thousands of requests in minute....

Stay as you are. 3 different shops, with three different products and only some products sold on other shop. It is better for performance, SEO and you will also be happier with the separation of your customers.

Three databases work more redundant, as one big, with thousands request in the minute....

Merging was made by export/import to csv and also by moving data directly from one database table to another with database tools like SQL-merger (but this needs the proficient knowledge of Prestashop's database architecture and dependencies of tables.)

Thank you, for very fast reply. I understand this with a lot of queires to one database but in ours shops are the same products, one is for b2b, one for one country clients and one for other abroad. We need it to use intergate program with program to manage stock and program integrator can use multistore and in one program to manage stock we will manage all shops. Now we have to buy four integrators and four programs to manage stock for all shops...

If your problem is the management of 3 shops, than I suggest you instead to use the back-office of the 3 shops, use the Presta Store Manager Pro. There you have one back-office and you can switch easily between shops with one or two mousecliks.
