One certain product is blocking the import...?

Hello,

 

I'm still facing some troubles with the CSV import.

There are no timeouts anymore and a Cron starts every hour.

 

But the import just stops when it reaches some certain products. The cron won't restart and as far as I can see, there is no error logged somewhere.

(Whats the best way to show you the line of this file?)

 

 

Can you find anything odd about it? Some sort of...forbidden word?

Or have you ever experienced something like that?

 

 

Because when I delete those lines, the import runs without any problems again.

What's the delimiting character, a tab or a comma?

 

(Optionally), why don't your csv's have padding around the cell values?

I'm sorry, I guess that was a bad way to show the file.

Should be separated by semicolon.

The padding was just because I copied it out of excel

1) Do you have any other products with commas that works?

2) Do you have any other products with German letters like "ö" that works?

3) Can this line have an invisible symbol?

But I just imported 7000-8000 items. All with commas, all with ä, ö, ü, ß....

Is it possible to send the csv as download, with a few lines before the problem and a few lines after te problem.

Vosteen, Yes, there are special code editors that show end lines and all special symbols.

 

Deoorbel has a good idea: you should try to import that one line or one before plus one after to make sure that the problem is with that line. 

You said that there is no time out, but there can be upload limit.

The only difference i see is in the kolom Name, Both products have a closing coma at the end of the sentence. Thaths the only difference?

Sounds good, but:

I only sent you a small snipped of the file. When I take a look at the whole file, there are way more lines with commas like that, but they were imported :/

I have used a HEX editor, but can't see a problem. No special characters in the file nor in the line.

 

Strange, when i downloaded the file, Dropbox gives a strange result on the page, but after download it's a correct file.

Oh, by the way, the solution:

 

It was the imagesize!

For some reason it was saved ways too big (5000 x 5000px). And the Import has a limit of 2000 x 2000px.
