After installing each link gives index.php [?] controller=404

After installing I get index.php?controller=404 for each link I follow in the site.

Is there a solution for this?

It seem friendly URLs are not working. PrestaShop should have generated a .htaccess file in the root of your server to enable them. If that file doesn't exist, go to the Preferences > SEO & URLs tab and then click the "Save" button and one should be automatically generated. If it isn't, there might be a permissions issue preventing the file from being created.

 

If the file exists and has PrestaShop's rewrite rules and it still isn't working, your server may not support mod_rewrite. If it doesn't, you'll need to ask your host to enable it, or go to the Preferences > SEO & URLs tab and change "Friendly URL" to "No" and then click "Save" to disable friendly URLs.

Saved the settings at the Preferences > SEO & URLs tab.

That worked out well.
