dhdesign
I've tried everything read all the forums. I can enable URL rewriting but the tool does not work (there are no clickable options) so I can't generate the file.I have tried to copy the content of the file and upload to my server but keep getting 'Internal server error' regardless of what content in any location.Any help most welcome
rocky
The instructions are wrong and have been updated in PrestaShop v1.3. You should create a file called .htaccess in the root directory of your PrestaShop and give it chmod 666 permissions (not chmod 777), then a "Regenerate .htaccess file" button will appear on the page in your screenshot. dhdesign
Thanks for the reply, still no luck I have tried everything but as soon as the file goes in I get a server error such as...ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /adminBP/index.php on this server. rocky
I can't help any more other than say to check your permissions. You should have chmod 755 for directories and chmod 644 for files. Some older servers require you to use chmod 777, but it is not recommended, since then anyone can write to the files.
