Possible Quick View Bug?

Recommended Posts

NOTE: I will be disabling QuickView on my store, because it is not usable in its current form. If someone sees this post later and wants to investigate further, please respond so that I can re-enable QuickView. I cannot use it. Thank you!

On my Prestashop store, when the QuickView is clicked, two problems occur:

  1. If "Continue shopping" is selected after adding an item to the cart from "QuickView" mode, user is redirected to a fullscreen QuickView; I notice this has already been reported.
  2. In QuickView mode, the first time a user views a product in QuickView, the first drop-down menu is sometimes functional -- the menu for Print Medium which defaults to Traditional Lustre. However, if the user returns to QuickView a subsequent time, the first drop-down menu does not work, thereby removing many of the combinations on my store. This menu works only one time for each item unless the browser window is refreshed.

I have tried this repeatedly on several different browers, and this happens on all of them: Chrome, Firefox, Pale Moon. I don't have MS Edge installed on any of my computers, nor do I have any Apple products.

My web store is located at https://pamboling.com/store if anyone would like to test it.post-1310119-0-71328000-1473356959_thumb.jpg

I'm using Prestashop v. 1.6.1.6, default-bootstrap theme.

Hi,

I just tested your website but I don't ahve issue in both cases, continue shopping or process to check out.

And I add product from product list and from details page but everything is working fine.

Did you try the first drop-down list that originally has "Traditional Lustre" as the choice? If so, did you try loading the QuickView a second time? It is usually on the second attempt that the drop-down doesn't load, thereby eliminating the majority of my combinations. Sometimes the drop-down doesn't work at all, even on the first load of my page, but to have it fail at least 50% of the time isn't acceptable.

Is it possible to completely disable QuickView? If it isn't possible to fix it so that it works properly, then disabling the function entirely would be my best option.
