Background story:

Guy has prestashop on his machine, but all the information (database and files) pointed to his computer.

I find, download, and upload all files to the internet under my hosting (using a temp domain... ignore the name)

I follow these directions

-- copy all files to new server
- upload databse
- in file setting.inc.php change connection data to DB
- in database table PREFIX_shop_url change url if is not the same as before
- delete htaccess file (only if domain is not the same, you will generate new later)
- check name of admin folder and go to domain.com/admin_folder_name
- login using email and password
- if you don't have access you can change admin email in PREFIX_employee and regenerate new password in BO login page.

This is the website

this guy has a lot more products then are being shown. In his admin log in I see a bunch of products. Why are they not showing up? When I go to maintenance/general/shop it is enabled. What am I missing

BTW, the guys website has never been live...

I can not get a link up for the categories. I do not understand the block-category thing. How do I get the information on the front page?

IF I was to purchase a new theme, I can change the photos around but would all my information stay the same? like products go where products need to be, and the category field will be visible from the main page?

As far as I can see you don''t have a sidebar on the front page. So there is no place to put the menu block. You could still add a menu to the top bar though.
