Possible to do Batch operations on products ? Assign to sub-category, OnSale icon badge etc..

Hello,

 

I have more and more products in my store, and i felt the need to create subcategories among my three main parent categories to let users filter through the entire catalogue more easily but apart from editing the products one by one which is a very (very) tedious task especially when the internet connection isn't very fast, i thought there must be an easier way to do this. Is there ?

Also for example let's say i'm having a sale and i want to see the 'On Sale' badge on 50 products. Is editing the products one by one and ticking the box on the Prices tab the only way to do this ?

 

I hope somebody can reply with a fast and easy solution

You can use the Advanced Parameters > CSV Import tab to update products. You just need to create a CSV file with the product "ID" and "On Sale (0/1)" columns.

Great idea, i tried csv import once, it worked pretty well but i totally forgot about it since then so i will try what you suggested
